The tragic events that unfolded over the weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia, have brought deep divides that cripple our nation back to the forefront. White supremacy, our country’s original sin, re-emerged with abandon when a White nationalist rally turned violent, and one of its attendees killed a protester when he plowed his car into a crowd.
But a secondary scandal quickly formed when President Trump refused to call-out the movement by name or specifically condemn their gathering and their hate speech. The backlash was swift and came from all sides, as Republican and Democratic lawmakers condemned the President for equivocating on such an important issue. But it wasn’t just lawmakers. Celebrities and even athletes have weighed in.
One of the most scathing attacks came from NBA superstar LeBron James. The three-time champion and future hall of famer was as disgusted as everyone by the President’s hedging and refusal to call out the alt-right, and he took to Twitter immediately.

LeBron James isn’t a prolific political tweeter, but when he does, he nails it.
